Best Char Kueh Teow In Penang

Sometimes I wonder...
How actually do different food from the whole of Malaysia get their own ORIGINALITY?
Could it be Penang populated by mostly hokkien?
The why the hawkers stalls in KL only show themselves as Penang Kueh Teow/Lobak
Where is Klang Kueh Teow/Lobak?
Of cause here in boleh land we actually can have headlines on Fighting over Originality of food with our neighboring country...
That is what our BN MP could do what~ Making noise over things which really doesn't bother most of rakyat and leaving the country in such a big mess....

Nah~ not bout politics now....
Got some feedback that some people actually like my blog being as a food blog...
so...
Here comes the food... Again....

Here I bring you not one... but TWO of best char kueh teow in Penang....
Which I known of la of cause...
One recommended by a local penangties and another which I've been loving it long long before time....

1st up... The char kueh teow before time....
Duck Egg Char Kueh Teow in Carnarvon Street. Pin Hooi Coffee Shop
Duck egg does add a special aroma for this stall... Which I really can't pinpoint why...
The only different I know is Duck egg's size if relatively bigger than Chicken's...
As There's duck egg fried kueh teow in KL which absolutely no different from using chicken egg...

As usual.... With great money comes great big prawns....
Juicy delicious covered with duck egg...

Coming to Pin Hooi Coffee shop.... NEVER EVER miss out the lobak!

Why?
Other than the normal lobak and Prawn 'pancake'(huh?!) that we ussually see... They also offer pork head skin(Don't yerr and get disgusted if you're not chinese)... And also fried pieces of stingray and unknown fish....

Still why???

See this yourself....

And AGAIN...............

MUST TRY 1 man!

Next up...........
With greater money... Comes even greater & bigger prawn.............
Lorong Selamat Fried Kueh Teow...
The famous Rm6.50 per plate kueh teow..... (Small Size 1 Har... and don't ask so much while ordering ar.... Aunty scold you 1 man..... I'm Serious.....)
The picture might look oily... but with the high speed high temperature heat charcoal fried kueh teow have all the moisture locked in..... & with the enormous size of fresh prawns.... Rm6.50 is very very much worth the price.....
See?
Just by admiring the prawns could worth your money la~
So let me pose them and take a pic before I start to devour them all!
haha

Which 1 is better?
Hmmm... Don't ask... both is a MUST MUST eat whenever you go Penang kay~

And correct me If I'm wrong... From my own experience.... The difference between a typical penang style kueh teow(Non-halal).. Is the usage of Pork Lard and slices of Chinese sausage...
Especially the Chinese Sausage... Never to be missed..... Is that it??

-Quoted from wikipedia-
"Until recently, pedlars in Malaysia and Singapore would affix the word "Penang" or "槟城" to "char kway teow" at their stalls or stations in food courts in order to pass off as an authentic "Penang Char Kway Teow" or "槟城炒粿條" to lure more customers."
